Our posture

FennecFund is not in the data business. We don't profile you, we don't build advertising audiences, and we don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing. There are no tracking pixels, no analytics SDKs, no session-replay tools, no advertising cookies. We run the product, you use it, and that's the relationship.

What we need to run the service

The service runs on a small set of essentials:

  • Identity — when you sign in with Google or GitHub OAuth, we receive your email, display name, and profile image. We use this to identify your account and authorize access to your subscription.
  • Session — a signed JWT cookie keeps you logged in across requests (7-day expiry, rotated periodically). This is strictly functional; it's not used for tracking.
  • Billing — if you subscribe, Stripe handles payment. We see your subscription status and a Stripe customer ID. We never see or store your card number.
  • Infrastructure logs — our host (Railway) logs IP addresses, user agents, and request timestamps by default, the same way every web service does. We use them only for security, debugging, and rate limiting.

Processors we rely on

We share data only with vetted processors required to run the service. Each has its own privacy policy and security posture:

  • Google / GitHub — OAuth identity.
  • Stripe — subscription billing.
  • Railway — application hosting and database.
  • Discord — alert delivery, only if you configure a personal webhook.

Retention

Account identity stays while your account is active. Cancel and ask us to delete your account and we remove it. Infrastructure logs roll off on our host's default schedule. Stripe retains billing records on the timeline required by their compliance obligations.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, others) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Email us and we will respond.

Changes
